My heart is heavy and prayers go out for the people in Japan, especially our fellow acromegaly blogger, Ayaka (Google translate: click here). I was relieved to see her still blogging after viewing the devastation and turmoil her country is suffering right now. The pictures and videos are shocking....there are just no words. I'm so sorry, Ayaka.

Geeze, when I think about all the things that make my acromegaly worse, stress is probably the #1 thing that makes things worse. I cannot imagine a more stressful environment to be in right now, and I hope Akaya is holding up OK.
Also, with the electricity cuts, what is happening to all the medication that needs to stay refrigerated? I hope there are backup generators available.
Love and prayers for you and all those who have been affected by the quake. I'm so sorry for the loss.
Alecia, you're so sweet. Thank you for the prayers. I'm doing OK, but I really worry about the nuclear power plant. (and of course, about all the evacuees)
I feel stressed out. The public transportation is one big mess due to the scheduled blackout.
Polarchip, for all the medical needs, the electric power companies do provide backup generators for individuals and medical facilities. Yet, our big concern is that we do not have enough oil. If we run out of gas, it's going to become very hard to even use the generator, so I'm praying that everything will be OK.
I really hope Japan can overcome this hardship.
