I do not know how long this link will be active. It is from MSNBC, prime news coverage on the story of Tanya Angus who has been hit VERY hard by acromegaly. She appears here on the Today Show with her story (includes video) accompanied by Bob Knutzen. Bob is the guy that has been helping me with my case with the VA. A very hard-charging guy with many contacts with doctors, specialists, and the military. Anyway, here is the link:

Update: Another article about Tanya here:

So sad that it wasn't caught in time. Acromegaly still awes me. It's so crazy to think she was model skinny at 5-foot-11 and 115 pounds and went to 6-foot-6 and 480 pounds in a 10 year period. But I'm glad to see acromegaly is getting more attention in the mainstream so more cases can be prevented hopefully.
Very well said, Jenny, I agree with your comments. Thanks for posting the link, Ken - I hadn't seen this.
Amazing video! I'm so happy to see that Acromegaly is getting acknowledged! I'm sure tons of people who never heard of it before will keep it in the back of their minds now. I'm also glad they showed an extreme case and a not so extreme case, so people know there's a whole range.
Thanks Ken!
May Tanya's action to expose herself to the world inspire others. This decision to go on MSN could not have been easy. I'm so happy she has.
Thanks for posting this.
