BBC Radio Documentary: "A Tall Story"

This new BBC radio documentary reveals how it was discovered that, in extremely rare cases, acromegaly/gigantism can have an hereditary cause.  For over 99% of patients, however, the cause is still unknown.

BBC Radio Documentary: A Tall Story

The programme will only be available on the internet for the next 7 days, so make sure to listen and share with those you think might be interested right away!

I've started blogging on my acromegaly. I should be having surgery fairly soon.

Hi Christina,

I've added your blog to the list on the right sidebar! Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, but many of "us" are living proof that things will get better. Hang in there!

Regarding this radio story, If anyone knows of a place to find a transcript of this story, please let me know!

Listening to the bit about the skeleton being tested for DNA reminded me that I want to donate my body to science when my time comes. I hope they use it to teach medical students about acromegaly.

Thanks for adding my blog! I have a doctor's appointment next week, so I'll be updating again soon.
